Mark D. Gott

Mark began his legal career as an Assistant Clerk for the Mecklenburg County Superior Court, where he presided as a hearing officer over incompetency proceedings, foreclosures, default judgments, name changes, adoptions, and probate matters. Bringing knowledge and enthusiasm to the team, Mark predominantly focuses on elder abuse and guardianship cases. Leveraging the experience acquired in the clerk’s office and private practice, he also handles various foreclosures, including residential mortgage, tax and homeowner’s association foreclosures, and large commercial foreclosures. Additionally, Mark actively engages in the Mecklenburg County Bar by teaching continuing education courses for attorneys and educating the public about legal matters.

Approach

Many describe Mark as professional yet personable. He’s always prepared for meetings and takes the extra step to clearly outline what the client may expect to pay at the beginning of the case. Mark’s commitment to transparency has led to a remarkable track record of over twenty years without any fee disputes with clients. He values communication and ensures clients are updated about the status of their cases.
